Edward di Girolamo began his formal education at the U.S. Naval Academy. Wanting to pursue a career in Engineering, he then attended the University of Buffalo and received his BS in Civil/Structural Engineering in 1980. Edward has 29 years of experience in building, construction and software development. To date, Edward is a named inventor on over 20 patents. He has owned several companies over the years serving as a licensed structural engineer, general contractor, residential home builder and steel framing panelizer specializing in cold-formed steel construction. Edward founded The Steel Network, Inc, in 1994 and for the past 15 years has served as Chief Executive Officer. The Steel Network designs and manufactures products for the light steel framing industry and currently has engineering software used by thousands of structural engineering firm. His most recent venture was the formation of Applied Science International, LLC which develops structural analysis software that is rapidly becoming a long awaited breakthrough in the material sciences. Recent clients include the Department of Defense and Major Corporations in 5 Continents.
